Dramaturgie is de leer die het theaterspel bestudeert en beschrijft. Het is niet alleen vormgeving, het is het hele verhaal meenemen en in kaart brengen. Wat wil ik uiten? Wat wil ik vertellen? Je probeert het verhaal te vertellen en de ziel te vangen. Net zoals je bij een muziekstuk de componist hebt. Je voegt elementen samen om er een geheel van te maken wat een verhaal vertelt.

2017

Transparency in Red

Het thema van World of Wearable Arts (WoW) 2017 was ‘rood’. Ik heb dit gebruikt in een transparante en minimalistische manier. Het binnen en buiten wordt met elkaar verbonden. Door de geometrische vormen van het kostuum te combineren met de vormen van het lichaam, treed er een interessant beeld op.

2001

Circle

This costume was created when my twin brother passed away. I got inspired by the African culture. Life and death are intertwined. The circle is round and life continues. The geometrical shapes represent a totem pole.

This costume shows respect for life and death and the continuity of life. Life goes on and there is strength in life. I tried to capture this feeling in this costume.
